Alright! SO, we are officially moved into our new place, my computer is hooked up and everything's good! Internets and all! New story starts tomorrow 
I am super excited! 
Just a comment on dA... I love this site to death, but they really need to update how you can post stories. Like having chapters? That would be great. Instead of putting the links in the notes. Every other website lets you do that. And you can even have your stories linked in a series on archiveofourown... which is awesome. Here, I have it all put into folders, but what if people don't see the folders? Blagh... we need updated stuff

Winning story!
To all my readers: You are lovely, and I hope you have the nicest of weeks And the winning story is... Epidemic of the Mannequins! Brothers Lost had a secret weapon this time to win the poll, and his name is the Tiny Chase Lisong! No one can resist the call of a story where we will be having some very small shenanigans with the local spaz best friend! Chase Lisong never expected to be involved in such an exciting line of work. Ever since he discovered that borrowers exist and his best friend Jacob had two very small brothers bossing him around, it's all felt so new and thrilling. How can he say no when his best friend needs help on the next case? If anyone is interested, the story was inspired and named for the Stone Sour song, Epidemic of the Mannequins. I definitely recommend giving it a listen. So while you're outside looking in Describing what you see Remember what you're staring at is me I’m looking at you through the glass Don’t know how much time has passed Oh God
And the winner is...
A Day of Duality! Brothers Consulted pulls out the win, beating both Lost and Apart to become our next story posted! ~~~ After being cooped up in Baker Street for months while recovering, Sam Winchester finally gets the chance for a day out. Little do he and John Watson expect their walk to take a turn for the interesting when they spot something-- or someone-- hiding down an alley. Meanwhile Sherlock Holmes and Dean Winchester are left to their own devices, resulting in the least boring day on record for the Consulting Detective and his borrower friend. ~~~ We thought Brothers Apart would smash it out of the park, but instead here we are with Brothers Consulted winning with A Day of Duality! There will be no further sneak peeks for the story, but until posting begins on 8/24/22 next week, enjoy the cover art made for it by one of my favorite artists, @soluscheese, who also runs the @canonspngifs blog, something we use all the time for inspiration: They also did the cover

Ah, what a year it's been! I certainly never intended it to take this long to announce the winners, but here we are. It's been an adventure already, and hopefully the second half of the year is much calmer. My fingers are crossed for it, anyway. As it so happens, there will be no poll this year! Neon pulled her entry out of consideration, which leaves us with three entrants and three prizes! I had an excellent time reading and reviewing them all, and so... The grand winner for the 2022 Brothers Apart contest is..... @Jetx43682! Their artwork perfectly captures Sam and Dean throwing a little celebration after the hunt! Just a casual moment between the brothers, caught for all of us to enjoy! bellalocawherehaveyoubeen and Misha_McCarthy will be getting the second place prizes. There are no words for how haunting the story On the Shorter Side comes across, with Dean trying to find his place in a giant world. And of course the artwork of Bowman shows his attitude about getting caught
Update at last!
So, I have been feeling much better, and am hoping to get back to a more regular schedule with stories soon! There will be a brief period of time upcoming in August where I will hopefully be going on vacation-- AGAIN-- and maybe this time I'll actually get there and not spend it in the hospital. My parents will be celebrating their 50th anniversary, so I'll be out of state to join them and the rest of the family. Now, for more blog-centric items: Story! Writing has been a little difficult for me recently, due to all these real life distractions, but @neonthebright and @borrowedtimeandspace have been wonderfully patient. We are still working on the stories, and I hope the pace will be picking up now that I'm in a better place. As for when posting resumes, I think I am going to shoot for mid August, after I return from vacation with my family. Brothers Apart and Brothers Lost will be in the poll coming up, and hopefully we'll also have some Consulted showing up with them! I also
